Staff + Teaching Artists
My work deals with wonder and that is the content of my work. I am interested in how experience of the physical world, its form, and our form determine how and what we are capable of thinking. The objects and actions in a space are things of practice, a continual presence used as a vehicle to reveal unrecognized knowledge. My teaching experience has been working closely with teachers at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago as a teaching assistant. As a teacher, as an artist I am greatly aware, interested, and invested in the next generation of artists. To help them grow through what I’ve learned and what I can still learn. The classroom for artists should be a space of dialogue and collaborative learning, between teacher/student, artist/artist, artist/world.
