About Marwen's Holiday Card Program
Every year for 14 years, Marwen hired a group of exceptionally talented high school students to design a series of greeting cards, all evoking the warmth and spirit of the holidays. The program was a unique career-building design initiative that strengthened students' art-making abilities while exposing them to tangible business skills that could be applied to future professions in the arts. Beginning in 2010, a new program shifted the emphasis from oil painting to graphic design and print making, resulting in the new Marwen Made 'Em card line.
Additionally, all of the revenues generated from sales of Marwen holiday cards fund our absolutely free high-quality visual arts education, college planning, and career development programs for Chicago's under-served youth in grades 6-12.
