Kate Adams
grades 9-12
Saturdays, 1:30-4pm

In this course you’ll create a two dimensional artwork inspired by the work of a contemporary artist. You’ll research and find images by a famous artist of your choice. Contemporary artists create work inspired by the same world we live in—the same current events, pop culture, wars, and injustices. Take this opportunity to see the world through other artists’ eyes and learn from their ideas, images, style, techniques, and color palettes as you create artwork with your own perspective and twist. If you’ve taken Experiments in Painting, Abstract Imagery, Painting with Meaning, Oil Paints, or any painting course, you’re well prepared for this course!
