Take photographs and transfer them onto canvas! You’ll work with digital media (cameras and Adobe Photoshop) and traditional materials (gel medium, Exacto knives, rulers), to create “paintings” of your digital images.

What is a “vanitas” painting? Study Dutch “vanitas” paintings as the starting point for creating your own work that addresses the vanities of our culture. Build your skills as a painter using oils as you compose your own personal still life.
