This class is all about building a strong portfolio of your photographs. You will photograph portraits, landscapes and still life, along with making darkroom prints to build into your growing portfolio. This course will build on your previously acquired photography skills but will also review the basics and introduce newcomers to the fundamentals of manual camera operation and 35 mm printing.

Throughout history, ceramic plates have been carved and decorated with writings and colorful scenic views. In this course you will create big plates on the wheel and with coils. You’ll learn the difference between glaze and under-glaze painting, the process for firing your piece, and the patience and dedication it takes to make a 3D piece of artwork.
