Past Projects

Elevate Chicago Artwork
In 2025, Elevate Energy, an Illinois not-for-profit corporation, worked with Marwen to commission artwork by Chicago artist and former Marwen Emerging Teaching Artist Isabella Scott for the Elevate Chicago downtown office. Isabella worked closely with the Elevate team and Marwen to produce illustrations and a final, large-scale painting. The final artwork will also be used by Elevate for company thank you cards. The collaboration showcases and promotes Marwen’s mission and emphasizes the intersections of Elevate’s mission of clean energy.

Night Ministry Mural
Led by teaching artists Dorian Sylvain and Victoria Williamson in Fall 2019, twelve young people were hired to co-design and co-create a mural in the Night Ministry’s new building and shelter for youth experiencing homelessness. The commissioned young artists worked closely with the Night Ministry’s youth advisory board to develop themes of Chicago, joy, and imagination to create a vibrant mural that welcomes the Night Ministry’s guests in the shelter.

Willis Tower Beehives
In 2021, Willis Tower and Marwen artists collaborated to design and create urban honey beehives that were then acquired by Willis Tower and exhibited in their green-space terrace. These artist-designed beehives contributed to Willis Tower’s Art of the Neighborhood program, a dynamic arts initiative that fosters ongoing art programming through the tower.
