[Fall 2025] Learn skills necessary to create a comic pitch and flesh out a story.

Ever wanted to make your own comics? Dream up some unique comic stories, and finish with a comic book. You will learn skills necessary to create a comic pitch and flesh out your story. Use traditional comic techniques while breaking “out of the box,” and learn more about experimental methods to create and share your original comic book story.

Teaching Artist

Sophia Clason is an illustrator and comic artist based in Chicago. She is a recent graduate of Tufts University’s combined degree program with the School of the Museum of Fine Arts. She also studied Illustration and Visual Media for a year at the University of the Arts, London.

Sophia is also working on her comic, The Lightning Catcher.
