Teaching Artist
Lulu Chang brings three values into their teaching: collaboration, experimentation, and accessibility. They are at the core of everything she does as an artist and educator. They love creating spaces where students feel safe sharing their ideas, learning from one another, and building together. Lulu works hard to make sure every student feels included, supported, and excited to create. She wants students to feel seen, heard, and inspired to make something that’s truly their own—and to have a lot of fun while doing it.
Lulu Chang (b. Hyogo, Japan) is a multidisciplinary artist currently based in Chicago, working across installation, sculpture, and video. Her practice explores themes of social norms, repression, and the complexities of identity. Lulu holds a BA in Art History from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing and an MFA in Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts in New York.
