Welcome to the world of motion graphics! This course invites you to explore motion graphics and digital storytelling using Adobe After Effects. Develop your own visual language and techniques to create dynamic, engaging animations and motion-based projects. You will focus on experimentation, creativity, and storytelling by translating ideas into motion graphics.

Teaching Artist
My name is Michelle Kim, and I’m a Graphic Designer with experience creating videos and animations for brands including Wilson Sporting Goods, Estée Lauder, Clinique, the NFL, and Sephora. With degrees in Visual Communications and Fashion Design from SAIC, I bring a unique perspective to motion graphics and visual storytelling, an ability I’ve had since childhood, seeing the world through the lens of motion. As a former Lecturer in SAIC’s Fashion Department, I produced the teaser video for the end-of-year fashion show, collaborating with the Photography Department and the Gene Siskel Film Center.
