Paranormal ARTivity: Haunted Installation
Step into the shadows and bring nightmares to life! Design and build a haunted house installation using the principles of set design, storytelling, and immersive experience. Working collaboratively, you will develop a theme, sketch layouts, and construct terrifying sets using lighting, props, sound, and special effects.

Teaching Artist
Pablo Monterrubio-Benet brings craftsmanship, experimentation, and collaboration to his classroom. He aims to instill students with a deep appreciation for craftsmanship by teaching them to look beyond the surface and recognize how every decision, no matter how small, plays a vital role in shaping the final work. Pablo encourages students to explore new techniques, push boundaries, and take risks. Through group projects and collaborative exercises, students learn to communicate effectively, share ideas, and work together to achieve a common goal.
Pablo Monterrubio-Benet is a Mexican-American media artist and filmmaker currently based in Chicago. He earned his MFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, focusing on filmmaking and interactive media art, and received his BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art.
