This is an opportunity to celebrate the students’ creativity and hard work. Connect with Sophia\, an admissions rep from Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA).   \n\n\n\nReceive valuable feedback on your portfolio\, ask questions and prepare yourself for artistic success! \n\n\n\nFounded in 1826\, MICA is the oldest independent\, continuously degree-granting college of art and design in the U.S. \n\n\n\nSophia Belkin is a MICA admissions counselor\, and a graduate of the MICA drawing and printmaking departments. She loves working with students from across the country\, and draws a lot of inspiration from her experiences with young artists. In her own studio Sophia uses dye painting\, embroidery\, and textile collage to create intricate paintings that reference natural processes. She has participated in artist residency programs in Wisconsin\, Vermont\, Norway\, Russia\, and Estonia. In May 2024 she completed a residency at the Joan Mitchell Center in New Orleans.
