We’re so excited to meet you! \n\n\n\n    \n        Saturday\, August\, 29\n    \n    11:00 AM CDT – 12:30 PM CDT\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNew Student Open House\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout This Event\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDuring the open house\, you will learn about Marwen\, tour the studios\, meet staff\, and register for Summer term courses. There are two Summer terms. Summer Term 1 runs June 22 – July 3\, 2026. Summer Term 2 runs July 13 – July 24\, 2026. Classes meet for two weeks\, Monday through Friday\, 2.5 hours per session\, for a total of 25 class hours. AM and PM classes are available.  \n\n\n\nPlease note that all materials shared will include Spanish translations\, and our Spanish-speaking staff will be available on-site and by phone to support registration questions.  \n\n\n\n5 Important Things to Know:  \n\n\n\n\nNew Student Open House & Registration is mandatory for all new students who want to participate in Marwen’s FREE visual arts programs. \n\n\n\nPlease arrive on time\, so we can show you around the galleries and studios and get you registered for free classes!\n\n\n\nStudents under 18 are required to attend orientation with a parent or guardian.  \n\n\n\nLimited free parking is available in our lot. Public transportation is highly recommended. We’re 2 blocks from the Chicago Brown line station.\n\n\n\nBe prepared to spend a full 90 minutes at Marwen. (We’ve got snacks\, don’t worry.)\n\n\n\n\nReach out to us at registrar@marwen.org with any questions.  \n\n\n\nAbout Marwen: \n\n\n\nMarwen educates and inspires young people to nurture their growth and build their futures through art and community. This is an opportunity to celebrate the students’ creativity and hard work. We hope to make everlasting connections with students and families during moments of celebration.  \n\n\n\nThe event begins with a panel discussion with our amazing Marwen LAB Students\, discussing their growth\, their challenges\, their accomplishments\, and where the future lies for each of them. The Marwen LAB talk begins at 4:00pm and we encourage all to join!  \n\n\n\nThis event is FREE and open to the public.
