Marwen’s 2026 Spring Break College Visits
Curious about college life?
Join Marwen’s Youth Pathways team on a series of campus tours! Explore Arrupe College at Loyola University, Columbia College Chicago, the School of the Art Institute (SAIC), and the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design (MIAD). Learn about college majors, admissions, scholarships, and career pathways. These visits are FREE and open to all Chicago high school students. Transportation and lunch will be provided.

Arrival & Lunch break
Please check-in at the front desk upon arrival. College Tours will depart from Marwen promptly at the start time of each college visit. Transportation and lunch will be provided.
Accessibility
Marwen’s facilities are fully accessible to students.
We strive to make these college tours accessible to all who wish to attend. Accessibility access may vary depending on the school. In addition to public transportation, these tours will involve walking . Marwen staff work to accommodate each student’s needs on a case-by-case basis. Marwen is accessible by the brown and purple line train, and we have a free parking lot.

MONDAY | MARCH 24
Pathways Visit: Arrupe College at Loyola University Chicago
9:30 – 11:30 AM | Chicago, IL | GRADES 9-12
A short walk from Marwen, Arrupe College offers a two-year associate’s degree in liberal arts, business, and social and behavioral sciences. This is an affordable option for students looking to earn an associates degree and enter the workforce, or for students looking to explore their next steps and continue their education by transferring to bachelor and graduate programs. Lunch will be provided.
TUESDAY | MARCH 24
Pathways Visit: Columbia College Chicago
10 AM – 1 PM | Chicago, IL | GRADES 9-12
During this campus tour in the heart of downtown, we will explore degree programs like visual and performing arts, film, music, business and more! Columbia’s programs are top ranked in fields like animation, illustration, and game design. Explore career pathways that align with your interests and learn about admissions, scholarships, and campus life. Transportation and lunch will be provided.
THURSDAY | MARCH 26
Pathways Visit: The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC)
NOON- 3 PM | Chicago, IL | GRADES 9-12
SAIC is regarded as one of the top art schools in the country. Founded in 1866, SAIC is older than the Art Institute museum itself! We willexplore their urban campus downtown and learn about their art degree programs. Notable SAIC alumni include painters like Georgia O’Keeffe and Grant Wood, sculptor Jeff Koons, and fashion designer Cynthia Rowley. On the tour, we will learn about portfolio and admission requirements, financial aid, and campus life. Transportation and lunch will be provided.
FRIDAY | MARCH 27
Pathways Visit: MIAD ( Milwaukee Institute of Art + Design)
10 AM – 6 PM | Milwaukee, WI | GRADES 9-12
Road trip! Round-trip transportation from Chicago to Milwaukee will be provided as well as a pizza lunch on campus. Together, we will tour MIAD’s campus and get a glimpse into their art studios. In addition to touring the school, we will also participate in a hands-on art-making workshop facilitated by MIAD staff.
